Virtual Medical Scribe - Wound Care - Remote

Overview

The scribe performs medical record documentation and clerical duties to increase provider effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction.

In Short

• Part-time position requiring availability on Monday & Wednesday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST.
• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts.
• Virtually enter the patient room with the physician to capture and transcribe medical record documentation.
• Update components of the patient's medical record as directed by the physician.
• Prepare and send documentation to the physician for review and approval.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to monitor lab results.
• Ensure accurate documentation in patient records.
• Support compliance with hospital and ProScribe policies.
• Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other clerical duties to improve provider productivity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM.
• Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English.
• Residency in an approved state for virtual work.
• Must have a personal computer and high-speed internet access.
• Available to work 16-24 hours per week for part-time.
• Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.
• Understand HIPAA regulations.
