Patient Care Technician - Remote

Overview

Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to, and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care.

In Short

• Provide patient care and support the admissions and discharge process.
• Comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse.
• Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
• Report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff.
• Must have a high school diploma and relevant certifications.
• Work experience as a Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant is required.
• Full-time position with day shift hours.
• Located at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Completion of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program or similar.
• Current work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.
• Must be a current student in a clinical program or have relevant certifications.
