Coder+ Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Coder+ Specialist at Privia Health is responsible for the accurate processing of claims and ensuring compliance with coding standards while working collaboratively with healthcare providers.

In Short

• Analyze medical records to assign CPT and diagnosis codes.
• Ensure clean claims submission to prevent denials.
• File corrected claims with coding corrections.
• Liaise with providers for information clarification.
• Research and answer coding-related questions.
• Adhere to ethical coding practices.
• Assist with Salesforce case management.
• Monitor and respond to emails promptly.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Participate in meetings for program success.

Requirements

• High School diploma or medical office training preferred.
• Experience in claims and denials management required.
• 3+ years of experience in coding specialties.
• Must be a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
• Experience with athenahealth's tools preferred.
• Private, quiet workspace with high-speed internet required.
• Ability to work with diverse healthcare teams.
