Director of Finance - Remote

Overview

As the Director of Finance, you will take overall responsibility for the financial solidity, transparency, and scalability of our rapidly growing D2C company in the dietary supplements sector.

In Short

• Responsibility for financial accounting and preparation of financial statements according to HGB (and IFRS in the future).
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordination of tax matters in collaboration with external tax advisors.
• Ensuring compliance and transparency across the financial sector.
• Collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, financial authorities, banks, and insurance companies.
• Development of scalable integrated financial processes and digital systems (ERP, Payment, E-Commerce).
• Management of large transaction volumes and complex data flows from D2C sales channels.
• Implementation and development of an internal control system.
• Cash flow planning and optimization of financing.
• Close cooperation with Controlling, Supply Chain, and Data & Analytics.

Requirements

• Completed business studies with a focus on finance or accounting.
• At least 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, several years in a leadership role.
• Experience in growth-oriented or international company structures, ideally in D2C, FMCG, or related fields.
• Very good knowledge of HGB, IFRS experience is an advantage.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in regulated industries.
• Proven experience with large transaction and data volumes.
• Familiarity with modern ERP and reporting systems.
• Analytical, data-driven with a clear process orientation.
• Proven experience in building structures and internal control systems.
• Leadership skills and a hands-on mentality.
• Excellent German and English skills.
