As a Data Engineer I, this role combines expertise in demography with strong programming skills to create tools that help organizations understand population trends, social dynamics, and economic factors. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, statisticians, and policy analysts to design, develop, and maintain applications that process large datasets, generate reports, and visualize demographic patterns.

  • Document code and development processes clearly

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industry experience in the areas of Demographic Role
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Demography, Geospatial /Geography, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R
  • Experience with database management and data querying (SQL)
  • Strong understanding of demographic concepts and population data
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Tableau)
  • Experience in Cloud technologies like AWS, azure etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of database concepts and complex query writing
  • Excellent knowledge in Query Optimization for better performance
  • Exposure to Geo-spatial domain and how geospatial data is stored in database is preferred
