Senior QA Engineer - Remote

Overview

Posit is seeking a Sr. QA Engineer with solid leadership, analysis, and automated test case creation experience. The Workbench team builds our professional server product, which serves data science IDE sessions to enterprise users and scales data science tools across large clusters. We work closely with our IDE teams, and you will contribute to both projects. We will continue our focus of creating a delightful user experience for our Data Science community that is focussed on both the R and Python languages.

In Short

• Define test strategies, automation plans, and Definition of Done for projects.
• Own overall coordination and communication of day-to-day work.
• Create, maintain and enhance automated test suites.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality products.
• Mentor other QA Engineers.
• Advocate for new features and enhancements.
• Learn from other teams and become a domain expert.
• Drive quality through careful testing and analysis.
• Participate in feature planning and provide feedback.
• Plan features and drive their development over time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of writing automated tests.
• Experience in Python and familiarity with R.
• Experience with web-based interfaces and IDE applications.
• Able to write and understand tests in Python.
• Experience creating high-level test strategies.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Strong communication skills across teams.
• A collaborative approach to producing high-quality software.
• Experience with data science workflows is a plus.
