In Short

• Lead and conduct steady state power transmission system analysis.
• Review interconnection reports and develop favorable strategies.
• Streamline interconnection processes using Python.
• Replicate interconnection studies results using engineering judgement.
• Pull data from ISOs and track transmission system improvements.
• Support interconnection process tasks and communications.
• Develop interconnection application plant models.
• Act as a subject matter expert on interconnection queues.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in site visits and meetings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with power system analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience in an IPP or as an interconnection studies consultant.
• Strong expertise in organized markets.
• Proficient in power flow and dynamic simulation software.
• Understanding of electricity market policy.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Python and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
