Senior Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Revenue Accounting team at Plaid is responsible for managing the full Order to Cash process, ensuring revenue accuracy and compliance, and providing strategic support for large customer deals.

In Short

• Review and configure customer contracts and assess revenue recognition.
• Participate in revenue month-end close activities, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and flux.
• Partner with Commercial, GTM, and StratFin to evaluate new deal structures.
• Collaborate with Billing Engineering, RevOps, and BizTech to drive system improvements.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in a SaaS/Software high-growth tech company and Big 4 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606.
• Experience with SaaS/Software/Usage-based revenue recognition.
• Attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
