Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will support the HR lifecycle duties including hiring, payroll, and benefits administration, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring compliance.

In Short

  • Support HR lifecycle duties including hiring and onboarding.
  • Administer payroll and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations.
  • Provide support during new-hire orientations and open enrollment.
  • Process leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork.
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, and deductions for payroll.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll.
  • Investigate and recommend improvements to benefits programs.
  • Work collaboratively with HR and accounting teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Experience with HRIS systems like Paycor, Paychex, or ADP.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience in a government contracting environment is a plus.
