Overview

PingWind is seeking a Senior Java Developer with IT experience to support the Department of Veterans Affairs with strong development skills responsible for the analysis, design, and development of custom applications and web services.

In Short

• Support the Department of Veterans Affairs with custom applications and web services.
• Analyze system requirements and design software solutions using Java.
• Refactor existing applications to increase efficiency.
• Participate in Agile software development lifecycle activities.
• Work closely with Test Engineers to resolve defects.
• 8 years of experience developing with Java.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Agile/SAFe experience preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 8 years of Java development experience.
• Experience with VistA Imaging applications is a plus.
• Proficient with a range of applications in the medical imaging exchange ecosystem.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
