AI Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

An AI Data Scientist at Pie Insurance will work to establish the company as a leader in commercial insurance for small businesses by leveraging data analytics and AI/ML solutions.

In Short

• Work collaboratively with Product, data engineering, and MLOps teams.
• Involved in the entire model development lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.
• Enhance and reinvent risk and pricing models.
• Design and build AI-ML solutions in claims and underwriting.
• Conduct post-hoc model diagnostics and build interpretability reasons.
• Monitor and evaluate model performance.
• Build new insightful features using deep learning and NLP.
• Support MLOps in deployment and testing of models.
• Build and maintain scalable ML development pipelines.
• Showcase AI-ML capabilities to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; M.S. preferred.
• 5+ years experience as a data scientist in P&C insurance.
• 3+ years experience building claims models.
• Strong SQL programming skills.
• Strong Python / R programming experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
