Overview

The Engineering Project Manager at Cencora is responsible for managing various components of projects related to the design, build, and improvement of distribution facilities and processes, ensuring effective execution and communication throughout.

In Short

• Manage projects related to distribution facilities and processes.
• Collaborate with the Project Director on project charters.
• Oversee project budgets ranging from less than $1MM to over $20MM.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
• Lead cross-functional teams effectively.
• Utilize project management software for planning and tracking.
• Develop supplier specifications and manage RFPs.
• Support training and startup activities.
• Ensure alignment with project timelines and goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $5MM.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and automated systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs.
• Master’s Degree and/or PMP certification desired.
• Prior experience in consulting, Six-Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is beneficial.
