Upstream/Downstream Manufacturing Supervisor - Remote

Overview

The Drug Substance (DS) Supervisor will manage production activities for Biologics Manufacturing during the 3rd shift, ensuring high-quality drug substances are produced.

In Short

• Supervise cell culture fermentation, protein purification, and aseptic processing.
• Lead a team on the production floor, ensuring compliance with batch records.
• Coach and develop staff, conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with EHS standards.
• Train personnel on equipment and processes.
• Manage packaging schedules and departmental budget.
• Participate in qualification and validation activities.
• Author and review SOPs to improve process efficiency.
• Investigate problems and propose process improvements.
• Participate in multi-functional project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, pharmaceutical, or related life science.
• 5 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Experience in upstream and downstream manufacturing.
• Prior drug substance manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience in aseptic process execution preferred.
