Director of Financial Planning & Analysis - Remote

Overview

Per Scholas Inc., a national nonprofit focused on advancing economic mobility through education, seeks a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). This position requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills in financial modeling and scenario analysis and proficiency in Excel and Adaptive Insights. This key role will oversee the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business intelligence functions.

In Short

• Lead the annual budget development and long-range financial plans.
• Create detailed financial models and forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
• Provide comprehensive business analysis and develop financial reports.
• Act as the subject matter expert for Adaptive Planning.
• Partner with key stakeholders to align financial plans with organizational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial planning processes.
• Manage and develop a team of financial analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Adaptive Planning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Expertise in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading budgeting processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
