Senior Technical Animator - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Technical Animator at People Can Fly, you will be responsible for maintaining the production and software pipeline, creating high-quality characters and props, and implementing them in Unreal Engine. You will work closely with modelers and animators to ensure a smooth development process while contributing to the continuous improvement of pipeline tools.

• Implement characters in Unreal Engine including cloth and physics setups.

• Provide optimized assets or code within established systems.
• Support recruitment projects and onboarding processes.
• Work autonomously on pipeline tools and propose improvements.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Communicate effectively with the team and provide technical feedback.

Requirements

• Typically 5+ years of experience in game production.
• Strong mentoring skills.
• Great experience with Maya, specializing in rigging/skinning.
• Understanding of anatomy and character movement.
• Knowledge of facial rigs for games, television, or film.
• Strong physics simulation skills.
• Good programming skills, especially in Python.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine art production pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated and passionate about game development.
