Remote Pilot Operator

Overview

PenBay Technology Group is looking for motivated, computer-savvy individuals to work as Remote Pilot Operators. No aviation experience is required, but helpful. Experience as a computer operator, RPO, air traffic control specialist, or (student) pilot is highly desirable. Candidates that have completed aviation studies coursework, are certified in the terminal radar lab or en route lab, or otherwise possess a working knowledge of the FAAO JO 7110.65 are preferred.

In Short

• Operate a combination of CRT/keyboard/VCS to simulate pilot actions.
• Receive voice commands from students and input entries into the automated system.
• Translate displayed information into appropriate ATC terminology.
• Respond to students via VCS utilizing proper phraseology.
• This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum keyboard speed of 40 wpm with 90% accuracy.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite is desirable.
• Must be laboratory certified within the first 120 days.
• Exceptional customer service orientation is essential.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a comparable position.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team preferred.
• Candidates will be subject to FAA security screening.
