Overview

The Systems Engineering Group Lead will lead a team of Engineers in the public safety design and implementation of solutions for Motorola’s ASTRO 25 systems and adjacent technologies, playing a crucial role in ensuring project success.

In Short

  • Lead a team of Engineers in public safety solutions.
  • Responsible for project assignments and technical oversight.
  • Engage with customers for design reviews and acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering best practices.
  • Manage project milestones and issues resolution.
  • Conduct team leadership functions including hiring and performance reviews.
  • Handle engineering resource planning and job requisitions.
  • Participate in pre-sales design reviews.
  • Design and implement radio networks and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with various project teams for successful delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience or 10 years of technical experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with radio frequency engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of Motorola ASTRO 25 architecture preferred.
  • Experience with VMware ESXI, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles is desirable.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% as required.
  • Certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
