Senior OpenStack Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Senior OpenStack Engineers to support a strategic customer initiative involving OpenStack version 16 to 18 migration and deployment, with a strong emphasis on OpenStack-on-OpenShift capabilities.

In Short

• Lead and execute OpenStack 18 installations in enterprise environments.
• Support OpenStack upgrades from versions 16 and 17 to 18.
• Deploy and configure OpenStack-on-OpenShift components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define architecture and deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across compute, storage, and networking layers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Document installation procedures and operational guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
• Advance proficiency in OpenStack versions 16, 17, and 18.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of OpenStack core components.
• Strong Linux administration skills (preferably RHEL/CentOS).
• Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible, Python, Shell Script, Heat.
• Familiarity with Ceph storage and container orchestration.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenStack Administration or equivalent.
• Experience with telecom clients or large-scale enterprise OpenStack deployments.
