Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be an essential part of Paytient’s security efforts and will share in the responsibility of safeguarding our cloud and application environments.

In Short

• Design and implement security controls and secure-by-default architecture in GCP and AWS.
• Implement secure guardrails for cloud deployments in Terraform.
• Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in on-call and security support responsibilities.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to address security issues.
• Develop and maintain security documentation.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
• 4+ years of experience in a cloud security role.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Design and implementation experience with GCP security features.
• Ability to write automations in Python, Java, or Typescript.
• Ability to write secure-by-default Terraform for cloud deployments.
• Solid understanding of cloud and application security principles.
• Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new security challenges.
• 4+ years of experience in a cloud security role.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
