Tax Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

In Short

• Prepare and review all sales and use tax returns.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax documents.
• Manage tax provisions and related disclosures in financial statements.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual tax estimates.
• Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Prepare responses to tax notices and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact us.
• Analyze the tax impact of new investment opportunities and business initiatives.
• Assist in implementing Avalara as part of Intacct.

Requirements

• Strong background in tax accounting and compliance.
• Experience managing tax compliance and filings.
• Ability to coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Knowledge of applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with tax audits and inquiries.
• Research skills on complex tax issues.
• Familiarity with financial statements and disclosures.
• Ability to analyze tax impacts of business initiatives.
• Experience with Avalara and Intacct is a plus.
• Ability to manage ad hoc projects and cross-train team members.
