In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain cutting edge protocols foundational to Polkadot's security and scalability.
• Contribute to projects improving performance and lowering entry barriers to the Polkadot ecosystem.
• Debug and root cause complex issues in distributed systems.
• Build test suites for functionality and performance of components in a microservice architecture.
• Work fully remotely with a team of ~10 engineers based in Europe.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with implementing and maintaining distributed systems.
• Experience with performance engineering and optimizations.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices.
• Ability to collaborate in an open-source culture.
• Problem-solving skills over longer periods.
• Ownership and accountability for work.
• Drive projects to completion incrementally.
