Overview

The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for building trusted advisor relationships with customer CISOs, CIOs, and other IT executives, while capturing mindshare of the wider CxO community.

  • Act as a trusted advisor for strategic customers.
  • Deep knowledge of security frameworks and local cybersecurity regulations.
  • Craft and deliver C-level messaging focused on security trends.
  • Integrate Palo Alto Networks Portfolio value into customer’s cybersecurity transformation plan.
  • Deliver thought leadership content at industry events.
  • Proactively help organizations understand their cyber risk landscape.
  • Engage with industry associations and communities.
  • Provide guidance for Product Management and Marketing teams.
  • Regularly produce content for field consumption.
  • Participate in opportunity reviews and strategy sessions.

Requirements

  • Past experience as a CSO / CISO in large corporate enterprise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in risk management and information security.
  • Demonstrated industry expertise through contributions to security industry groups.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical content and executive-level communication.
  • Innovative thinker with great problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Security, or related field.
  • Credibility in front of large audiences and one-on-one meetings.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles in vendor or consulting organizations.
  • Vision for the cybersecurity future and roadmap development.
