Overview

As a Short-Form Video Editor for a DTC company, you will focus on retention-driven storytelling and collaborate with the creative team to enhance content performance across various social media platforms.

In Short

• Edit short-form social media videos with a strong storytelling and retention focus
• Follow strategic creative direction while bringing your own narrative instincts
• Cut fast-paced, scroll-stopping content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Add subtitles, light motion graphics, and strategic visual elements for performance
• Review performance data or implement feedback to iterate and improve edits
• Deliver multiple variations and hook tests for ads and organic content
• Work closely with the creative director and strategist on campaign content
• Use our internal b-roll library and occasional stock as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing, particularly for social media platforms
• Strong understanding of storytelling techniques and audience engagement
• Familiarity with video editing software and tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to analyze performance data and adapt edits accordingly
