Overview

We are seeking a versatile Medical Administrative Assistant with expertise in medical billing, patient scheduling, and content creation to support our healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in electronic health record systems, particularly Caro HD (or similar platforms), while also assisting with social media and newsletter content creation—all while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. This remote role requires 40-50 hours per week during US business hours, with weekly pay.

In Short

  • Accurately process patient billing using Caro HD (or similar EHR systems).
  • Ensure proper medical coding and claims submission.
  • Manage appointments for new and existing patients.
  • Coordinate follow-ups and reminders.
  • Handle patient phone calls after office hours (e.g., inquiries, scheduling).
  • Assist in drafting, editing, and designing newsletters.
  • Create engaging social media content (posts, graphics, etc.).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records.
  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines in communications and data handling.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in medical billing, coding, and EHR systems (Caro HD preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills for patient scheduling and administrative tasks.
  • Background in social media management and newsletter creation (Canva, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Excellent phone etiquette for after-hours patient communication.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
  • Ability to multitask between administrative and creative tasks.
