Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with a strong background in Freight Forwarding and Ocean Freight Forwarding. The ideal candidate will have expertise in legal documentation, freight booking, rate negotiation, and logistics coordination. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to manage fluctuating schedules and ensure the seamless movement of goods.

In Short

  • Arrange and finalize bookings for ocean freight shipments with the Steamship Lines (SSL).
  • Monitor daily bookings and schedules, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Provide timely updates to customers on shipment statuses and any schedule changes.
  • Develop daily trucking schedules and dispatch assignments to carriers.
  • Ensure efficient pickup and delivery coordination with trucking companies and ocean freight providers.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets and freight tracking systems.
  • Monitor and respond to daily emails related to freight inquiries, ensuring prompt action.
  • Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOL) and other required shipping documents.
  • Research and compare freight rates to secure the most cost-effective options.
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and update rate sheets regularly.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring they align with agreed-upon freight rates and contracts.

Requirements

  • Strong background in Freight Forwarding and Ocean Freight Forwarding.
  • Expertise in legal documentation and freight booking.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage fluctuating schedules.
  • Experience in rate negotiation and logistics coordination.
