Overview

The UI/UX Design Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solution-focused and driven by youth completing essential tasks in the technology department.

In Short

Work on website redesign and improvements.
Use Figma and WordPress for design tasks.
Collaborate with the COO, CEO, and other team members.
Flexible schedule with remote work primarily over Zoom and Slack.
Opportunity to add work to a portfolio.
Must commit until at least April 30, 2025.
Not a paid position, but offers college credit.
Assist with newsletter design and updates.
Submit a portfolio of previous work.
Attend weekly meetings with the organization and design team.

Requirements

Interest in UI/UX Design or related fields.
Experience with Figma required.
Knowledge of WordPress, PHP, Python preferred.
Familiarity with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop is a plus.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
