UI/UX Design Intern - Remote

Overview

The UI/UX Design Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solution-focused and driven by youth completing essential tasks in the technology department.

In Short

• Work on website redesign and improvements.
• Use Figma and WordPress for design tasks.
• Collaborate with the COO, CEO, and other team members.
• Flexible schedule with remote work primarily over Zoom and Slack.
• Opportunity to add work to a portfolio.
• Must commit until at least April 30, 2025.
• Not a paid position, but offers college credit.
• Assist with newsletter design and updates.
• Submit a portfolio of previous work.
• Attend weekly meetings with the organization and design team.

Requirements

• Interest in UI/UX Design or related fields.
• Experience with Figma required.
• Knowledge of WordPress, PHP, Python preferred.
• Familiarity with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop is a plus.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
