Overview

The Social Media Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by building a strong social media presence and community on various platforms.

In Short

• Contribute to a nonpartisan media outlet
• Build a strong social media presence
• Engage with the community on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Assist with content creation and rollout strategy
• Analyze engagement and data
• Work primarily over Zoom and Slack
• Commit to at least the end of the Spring Semester (August 30th, 2025)
• Opportunity to extend internship based on performance
• Must be a current or recent student in relevant fields
• Exceptional writing skills required

Requirements

• Current or recent student in Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields
• Exceptional writing skills in English
• Proficient verbal communication skills
• Experience with social media platforms
• Canva experience preferred
• Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines
• Google Workspace experience preferred
• Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
• Ability to attend weekly meetings
