Overview

The Conservative Writer Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by completing essential tasks in the Core Content Department, focusing on writing political content.

In Short

• Contribute to nonpartisan news and policy solutions.
• Write high-quality OpEds and Policy Proposals.
• Collaborate with a team of writers in a respectful environment.
• Participate in podcasts and events as needed.
• Ensure diverse content and nonpartisanship in published work.
• Meet weekly with the Core Content Department.
• Must submit a writing sample with the application.
• Remote work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack.
• Flexible schedule with college credit available.
• This is an unpaid internship.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Political Science, Journalism, or related fields.
• Exceptional writing skills required.
• Proficient verbal communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in policy research or political commentary preferred.
• Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines.
• Google Workspace experience preferred.
• Must attend mandatory weekly meetings.
• Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
