Applied Machine Learning Scientist (Early Career) - Remote

Overview

This is a remote role to start, with plans to transition to hybrid in-office 2x/week located in downtown Toronto. The position is ideal for an early-career ML scientist looking to leverage OpenTable's extensive booking data.

In Short

• Research and productionize ML models for various applications.
• Build reliable data pipelines in PySpark.
• Design and analyze A/B tests to inform product decisions.

Requirements

• Education: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Technical skills: Python, ML stack (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.), and gradient-boosting toolkits.
• Applied ML expertise in model pitfalls and business metrics.
• High agency and ownership in project management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
