Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at OpenAI, you will work closely with strategic customers to design, build, and implement solutions that drive real business impact.

In Short

Embed with customers to understand their business challenges.
Design and develop full-stack solutions using an iterative approach.
Prepare scopes of work and project plans for deployments.
Work hands-on with customers' technical teams.
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams.
Contribute to internal knowledge bases and best practices.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in software or customer engineering roles.
Willingness to travel up to 50% for on-site work.
Experience in rapidly prototyping ideas.
Proficiency in front-end frameworks like React or Next.js.
Back-end development skills in Python, Node.js, or similar.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Effective communication skills for technical concepts.
Ability to work iteratively with customers.
Ownership of problems end-to-end.
