Director, Product Engineering - Remote

Overview

The Downdetector-Connect Product Engineering Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the overall strategy, vision, and execution of product development initiatives across the organization. This role involves leading a team of product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative products that align with the company’s strategic goals and meet customer needs.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaboration with departments such as engineering, marketing, and sales.
• Budget & Resource Management: Manage budgets for product development initiatives.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to post-launch.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement in product development workflows.

Requirements

• Years of Experience: 8-12+ years in product development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
• Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing large, cross-functional teams.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managing relationships with executive leadership and external partners.
• Product Strategy: Extensive experience in developing and executing product strategies.
• Roadmap and Execution: Expertise in creating and managing product roadmaps.
• Full Product Lifecycle: Deep understanding of managing the full product lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s Degree: Typically in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Advanced Degree (Optional): An MBA or similar advanced degree can be a plus.
• Certifications: Certifications such as CSPO or Agile certifications are advantageous.
