Technical Writer/Course Developer - Remote

Overview

This position is for a professional Technical Writer with experience in creating user guides, release notes, and other documentation associated with software releases. The role also involves developing online learning content for customer usage.

In Short

• Create customer-facing user guides and release notes.
• Maintain software documentation in alignment with release cadences.
• Update and maintain online learning content.
• Meet with internal stakeholders to determine documentation needs.
• Work with product SMEs for technical accuracy of content.
• Attend product and internal team meetings.
• Report on status at organizational and team meetings.
• Travel for in-person meetings (less than twice/year).
• Collaborate as part of a large team.
• Learn new software/systems quickly.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to write clear, concise instructions.
• Strong skills with Adobe InDesign and/or Adobe Pro.
• Strong skills with MS Office Suite including MS Teams.
• Familiarity with Articulate 360, specifically Rise.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles.
• Familiarity with basic Instructional Design principles.
