Accounts Payable Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage our vendor payments and assist with various ad hoc accounting and finance tasks.

In Short

• Manage vendor payments and accounts payable process.
• Enter and process vendor invoices in Bill Pay software.
• Ensure invoices are accurate and properly coded.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Collect and maintain W9 forms for new vendors.
• Prepare and submit sales tax filings for applicable states.
• Support general ledger clean-up and month-end close process.
• Assist in finance-related projects as needed.
• Work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
• Contribute to improving finance processes and documentation.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
• Familiarity with Bill Pay platforms and accounting software.
• Solid understanding of W9 compliance and U.S. sales tax reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills for a remote work environment.
