We are hiring a Back End Engineer to work on a pivotal Federal program that is making a positive impact on millions of Americans' daily lives.

In Short

• Support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on a program designed to modernize Medicare data.
• Design and develop robust API endpoints and services.
• Implement end-to-end testing solutions.
• Support backend systems for critical health data applications.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers.
• Work in a secure, cloud-based environment.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes.
• Contribute to improving Medicare services.
• Engage in continuous learning and adaptation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of API design and backend systems architecture.
• Experience with SQL/Postgres and familiarity with Java.
• Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services, especially AWS.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
