Payroll Lead - Remote

Overview

Nourish is seeking a detailed and service-oriented Payroll Lead to join our Finance team and drive payroll compliance for our employees, including 3,500+ Registered Dieticians, across the U.S. In this position, you’ll take on and own complex financial processes, finding ways to evolve and enhance them on your quest toward utmost efficiency and accuracy. Communication and collaboration are the keys to success in this role, as you’ll work closely with both the Finance, People, Clinical Ops, Equity and Tax teams. We’ll also count on you to provide critical support for our employees and handle confidential concerns in a quick, effective way.

In Short

• Develop and streamline payroll and reimbursement processes for efficiency and compliance.
• Lead payroll initiatives and collaborate with external vendors.
• Conduct semi-monthly payroll processing and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
• Oversee compliance with payroll-related laws and guidelines.
• Handle year-end tax reporting and support auditors.
• Work closely with Finance and People Teams.
• Provide support for employee inquiries regarding payroll.
• Report to the Controller and engage with cross-functional teams.
• Manage complex payrolls across multiple states.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of payroll experience in the U.S.
• Understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with ADP WFN and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Integrity in handling confidential information.
• CPP certification highly regarded.
