In Short

• Leading and engaging a team of 4-6 experienced Underwriters.
• Collaborate with Business Development team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Interact with key external partners including agents and brokers.
• Manage team workflow including referral setting and authority.
• Partner with leadership team to deliver strategies and projects necessary for long term innovation.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of Underwriting experience, minimum of 3 years in people management.
• Proven success Underwriting in the transportation sector, preferably trucking.
• Experience managing a distributed team is a plus.
• Comfort setting and executing against team goals.
• Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
• Thorough critical thinker who isn’t afraid to make decisions.
• Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
