Overview

The Malware Detection Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing detection mechanisms to identify malware and advanced threats, ensuring the security efficacy of Netskope products.

In Short

  • Design and develop detection mechanisms for malware.
  • Own malware detection features and enhance detection efficacy.
  • Conduct internal testing and collaborate with third-party agencies.
  • Respond to customer escalations and ensure detection efficacy.
  • Collaborate with various teams to deliver security values.
  • Document security content release processes and methodologies.
  • Promote secure SDLC within the organization.
  • Lead research into emerging cyber threats and malware.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in malware detection engine development.
  • Experience with malware analysis and reverse engineering.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and attack techniques.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and bug tracking tools.
  • Experience in public cloud infrastructure is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
