Financial Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Financial Accountant is responsible for assisting the Head of the Finance and Operations team with the day-to-day running of the finance function.

In Short

• Ensure accurate financial books and records are up-to-date.
• Provide data for informed decision-making.
• Assist in building an efficient finance function and team.
• Maintain accurate financial records through bookkeeping.
• Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements and VAT returns.
• Support audits and perform ad hoc financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field with 2 years of experience.
• Big 4 Background or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of UK tax law and HMRC.
• Familiarity with IFRS.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Proficiency in financial management software.
