Overview

This role involves supporting the CDN delivery and day-to-day live-streaming operations for Netflix, focusing on enhancing the streaming service delivery and ensuring high reliability.

In Short

  • Drive improvements in CDN resilience and monitoring.
  • Implement and analyze CDN delivery testing.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for live-streaming events.
  • Analyze server and application performance data.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for live events.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python or Go.
  • 3+ years of experience in service reliability for large-scale systems.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Unix/Linux and networking principles.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Python or Go.
  • 3+ years of operational experience with large-scale systems.
  • Experience with CDNs and HTTP cache/proxy technologies.
  • Expertise in Unix or Linux fundamentals.
  • Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, etc.).
  • Experience with distributed analytic processing technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
