Paralegal Consultant - Contract - Remote

Overview

As a Paralegal Consultant at Nearmap, your role will be focused on supporting a broad range of legal, transactional, compliance and administrative matters including negotiating and drafting software and data licensing arrangements and supporting our US business.

In Short

• Support the North American sales organization, particularly the government teams.
• Attend to legal-related external customer support requests and inquiries.
• Provide training to the US sales team on legal positions and risk exposure in commercial contracts.
• Manage incoming and outgoing contracts.
• Manage legal vendors.
• Collaborate on global legal projects led by APAC and US Counsels.
• Maintain and update contract management system and global operational contracts register.
• Responsible for document retention practices.
• Manage and update library of templates, forms, and clauses.
• Assist with internal counsel and business clients to improve business practices.

Requirements

• Paralegal studies or equivalent experience in legal support.
• Experience in drafting legal documents and correspondences.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment.
• Broad commercial and corporate law knowledge.
• Experience negotiating government contracts preferable.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to provide commercially focused advice.
• History of successful cross-functional collaboration.
