Senior SQL Data DBA - Remote

Overview

The Sr. SQL Data DBA participates in the design, development, implementation, review, and monitoring of all on-premises and cloud database environments, ensuring each team has the resources needed to run efficiently and effectively.

In Short

• Design, implement, maintain, and monitor database servers across environments.
• Ensure High Availability and meet SLAs for systems.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions for HA and SLA goals.
• Review and audit environments for security best practices.
• Assist in TSQL development and SQL CI/CD life cycle.
• Support developers in writing queries and procedures.
• Create and implement new environments based on business needs.
• Mentor and lead team members in best practices.
• Assist in project, capacity, and infrastructure planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on SQL Server transactional experience.
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, TSQL, and coding best practices.
• Knowledge of MySQL & Postgres preferred.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Services like RDS and Redshift.
• Experience using Source Control (GitHub) for scripts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of SQL Server high availability technologies.
• Strong SQL Server administration skills.
• Expertise in SQL performance analysis and optimization.
• Experience with SQL Server debugging and tracing.
• Familiarity with BI technologies like ETL and data mining.
• Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
