Overview

NBCUniversal Cyber Security is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Cybersecurity Data Systems team, responsible for building and maintaining scalable data platforms and services for advanced threat detection and analytics.

In Short

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on cybersecurity data pipelines.
• Oversee development of data parsers and normalization processes.
• Manage onboarding of third-party data sources via API.
• Support and optimize Splunk SIEM infrastructure.
• Design and manage cloud architecture for reliability and compliance.
• Collaborate with analytics and detection teams to improve alert fidelity.
• Ensure systems meet regulatory and audit requirements.
• Provide Tier 3 support during high-severity incidents.
• Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Lead sprint planning and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, data engineering, or software development.
• 5+ years in systems/infrastructure security.
• 2+ years in technical leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with log parsing tools.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead teams in operational environments.
