The Phone Advocate plays a crucial role in supporting individuals affected by domestic violence by providing emotional support and vital resources.

In Short

• Respond to incoming calls from survivors and supporters.
• Provide confidential and compassionate support.
• Connect callers with resources and tools for safety.
• Work from home, requiring candidates from the Atlanta metro area only.
• Shift hours from 10:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. ET.
• Participate in three weeks of mandatory remote training.
• Utilize critical thinking to assess caller needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in customer service or related fields.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Zoom.
• Knowledge of intimate partner violence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented and respectful attitude.
• Ability to respond with empathy in crisis situations.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
