Senior Software Engineer in Test - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join a forward-thinking engineering team responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable software systems, including AI-powered features. This is a hands-on quality engineering role that combines automation, manual testing, and deep involvement across the software development lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in maintaining both automated and functional testing processes, validating system behavior in complex environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure we release with confidence and speed.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Own and execute comprehensive test plans across frontend, backend, APIs, and system integrations.
• Perform hands-on functional testing to validate edge cases and system behavior.
• Build and run regression suites and smoke tests as part of continuous delivery cycles.
• Analyze logs and application data to proactively identify bugs and performance issues.
• Partner with developers and product managers to define test strategies.
• Develop custom tools or scripts to support test execution and validation.
• Create dashboards that track test coverage and system reliability.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
• Participate in release activities including regression testing and production validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering.
• Experience designing and maintaining end-to-end test automation frameworks.
• Strong experience planning and executing functional tests.
• Experience leading test efforts and mentoring junior engineers.
