Overview

The Associate Attorney will report directly to the Managing Partner of Foreclosure South. The right candidate must be licensed and in good standing in the State of Alabama and should have a minimum of two (2) years as a practicing attorney. New graduates or recently licensed candidates will not be considered. Candidates licensed in either GA, AL, or MS (in addition to Texas, which is required) will be strongly preferred. The Associate Attorney will focus on title review and title curative responsibilities, as well as nonjudicial foreclosure tasks. As such, experience in real estate law and title review/clearance is required.

  • Accurately review title examinations and identify issues.
  • Execute recommendations for curing title issues.
  • Review legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate with insurers and outside parties regularly.
  • Create and edit reports, opinions, and correspondence.
  • Manage an independent caseload effectively.
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurers and vendors.
  • Update internal case management systems accurately.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Active Texas Law License and good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in real estate law and title review.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and case management software.
