Senior Applied Scientist - Remote

Overview

The Senior Applied Scientist will help develop and deploy cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning models that power Motive’s safety and fleet management solutions. You will work on LLMs, forecasting, and multimodal deep learning models, driving innovation in areas like collision detection, driver safety scoring, spend management, and fleet optimization.

• Develop, train, and optimize deep learning models for safety and fleet operations.
• Design and implement ML pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Work with vision, telematics, and sensor data to improve event detection models.
• Fine-tune large models for deployment efficiency on edge devices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production.
• Conduct A/B testing and causal inference studies.
• Stay updated with the latest research in deep learning and AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in deep learning or applied AI.
• Proficiency in Python and related libraries.
• Strong experience in SQL and large-scale datasets.
• Knowledge of transformer models and multimodal AI.
• Experience with ML model deployment on cloud platforms.
• Understanding of probability and statistics.
• Ability to translate business problems into scientific solutions.
