Application Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

As an Application Security Engineer at MoonPay, you will be part of a proactive team dedicated to fortifying systems through security reviews, penetration testing, and managing the Bug Bounty program.

In Short

• Conduct threat modelling and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support penetration testing activities and vulnerability assessments.
• Triage and respond to Bug Bounty program reports.
• Manage Web Application Firewalls, preferably with Cloudflare.
• Integrate security best practices throughout the SDLC.
• Research emerging security threats and develop mitigation strategies.
• Deliver security training to engineering teams.
• Maintain security standards and documentation.
• Participate in incident response activities.
• Contribute to the security community.

Requirements

• Experience in application, infrastructure, cloud, and mobile security.
• Strong understanding of Threat Modelling principles.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing methodologies.
• Experience with WAF configuration and management.
• Proficiency in Javascript and Typescript.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and vulnerabilities.
• Self-motivated and effective in a remote setting.
• Background in disruptive technology, preferably in FinTech or Crypto.
• Understanding of cryptography and its applications.
• Participation in open-source security community is a plus.
