QA Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a key QA Expert at Moodle, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality of Moodle product releases, improving testing processes, and optimising test infrastructure.

In Short

• Engage with Moodle and developer communities to promote Quality Best Practices.
• Write Behat tests for automated testing of Moodle features.
• Peer review code changes related to testing.
• Improve the quality, coverage, and performance of automated tests.
• Support external testers.
• Monitor and analyse CI builds, reporting and resolving failures.
• Maintain and improve CI pipelines.
• Develop and maintain a performance testing framework.
• Incorporate performance testing into the QA cycle.
• Document opportunities for automating QA tests in Jira.

Requirements

• Experience in Quality Assurance and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools like Behat and PHPUnit.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with performance testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Jira for documentation and tracking.
