Senior Legal Counsel - Remote

As part of our legal and compliance team, you will play a key role in shaping policies, managing regulatory inquiries, and navigating financial services law, compliance responses, state licensing, and regulatory enforcement matters. • Monitor, research, and implement state and federal financial services compliance.
• Evaluate and manage regulatory change actions.
• Oversee state licensing and ensure compliance.
• Respond to subpoenas and regulatory inquiries.
• Develop processes for regulatory examinations and risk assessments.
• Work closely with regulators and external counsel.
• Oversee litigation and provide legal guidance.
• Support legal efforts in contract disputes and compliance enforcement.
• Provide legal oversight for BSA and AML compliance programs.
• Advise on Fair Lending and anti-discriminatory practices.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in a U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience in financial services or regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws.
• Experience handling subpoenas and regulatory audits.
• Proven ability to manage state licensing and compliance reporting.
• Hands-on experience with litigation strategy and risk mitigation.
