Overview

Join us as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer for Monitoring in our Platform Engineering team on a shared journey that matters! You will be responsible for the security posture of our AWS and Kubernetes landscape and the workloads therein.

In Short

• Defend modern cloud environments and protect them from potential attacks.
• Design strategies to counter potential attacks.
• Monitor security posture and set up alerts as needed.
• Implement controls and solutions when existing tools fall short.
• Automate detection and response, monitoring, and reporting.
• Harden CI/CD landscape ensuring secure deployment of security code.
• Conduct impact analysis and gather indicators of compromise in case of incidents.
• Employ threat intelligence methods to improve security posture.
• Foster a security mindset within teams to reduce reliance on specialists.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with infrastructure as code in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and the cloud-native landscape.
• Programming skills in languages such as Go or TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of security principles and SIEM systems.
• Experience with scenario-based security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience handling security incidents and aftermath.
• Familiarity with industry security standards such as OWASP Top 10.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; English is a must, German is a plus.
